Pope lands in Brazil to find faith on the mend
The Scotsman - International: "A new study shows that for the first time since records began in 1872, the Roman Catholic Church in Brazil has stemmed the rapid decline of worshippers to other religions. The study, based on government census data, shows that 73.79 per cent of Brazilians declared themselves Catholic in 2003, almost exactly the same number (73.89 per cent) as three years earlier."
